Radhika Apte has had a great run in the Indian film scene and her latest hattrick on Netflix goes to show that she has surely upped her game over the years despite odds against her. Radhika has over the years grabbed eyeballs for the unconventional roles she plays. More over her dare to bare attitude has been much of a talking point in the media and the industry.
Being trolled off late, Radhika Apte has found support from Netflix itself. The streaming giant has come out in support of the star. While Netflix calls it a Radflix era to stand in solidarity with the star, Radhika believes that this three series back to back story is mere coincidence. She calls it a great opportunity.
Radhika has been featured in three productions namely — Lust Stories, Sacred Games and Ghoul — this year on Netflix.
Releasing a spoof video Netflix India backed her with a spoof video Omnipresent online, and captioned it: “Whatever the role, Radhika apt hai.”
The Radflix original film Omnipresent sees her playing multiple roles. She has also written, directed and given music to the movie.
Apte’s bold roles aside, her growth curve in the industry has been one to stand up and take note off. From a non entity in the entertainment scene three years back to a household name, Radhika Apte has come a long way.
Even as trolls and opinionated minds have a field day, she has as many as 5 more upcoming projects- Baazar, Bombairiya, Indian-American fantasy thriller The Ashram, Tamil film Ula and Andhadhun.
