Tesla founder Elon Musk is now the world’s richest person. His net worth crossed $185 billion . He has overtaken Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’. He became the richest globally after Tesla’s share saw a jump on Thursday
The 4.8 per cent rally in Tesla’s share helped him gain the spot . Musk replied in his signature style, “How Strange”. According to Musk the key purpose of his wealth is to “accelerate humanity’s evolution into a spacefaring civilisation”.
Musk also tweeted: “So proud of the Tesla team for achieving this major milestone! At the start of Tesla, I thought we had (optimistically) a 10% chance of surviving at all”.
Musk who resides in Los Angeles, Californa has several facts to his credit which make him unique. Elon Musk was born in Pretoria to Errol and Maye Musk. He is citizen to three countries – South Africa, Canada and The United States of America.
Musk created a video game called Blastar at age 12, sold it for $500. He has the distinction of dropping out if Stanford in two days
