Alien life has always fascinated scientists and scholars alike. With popular media depicting this mysterious lifeform, many times there has been talk of Aliens coming to Earth. There are tonnes of documentaries that continue to talk of this phenomena. With the much hyped Area 21 still remaining a mystery for many, the Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Department of Defense has released three videos which are now no longer part of the secret list. These videos have further fuelled the debate about whether life beyond the realm of earth actually exists. In these videos, UFO (Unidentified Flying Object or a flying object) is seen. The videos that have been seen by a zillion people have been captured by the US Navy Pilots in their cameras.
In a statement, the US Department of Defense (DOD) has said it has authorized the release of all three videos. One of them is from November 2004 and two other videos are from January 2015. The Defense Department said in a statement that “DoD is issuing this video to clear the confusion of people whether the footage being circulated is true and whether there are more such videos or not. In the video the flying objects are in the category of “unknown”.
The DoD stated that, “After an in-depth review, the Department decided that the authorized release of these videos would not give away any sensitive information or systems and would not affect the investigation into the military airspace of unknown airborne objects.” 62.1 thousand people are talking about it
Pentagon had dropped hints at the reality of these videos, as early as 2019. It is now in public domain that during training in 2004, American Navy pilots saw this 40 feet long unknown object which was hovering 50 feet above the water. This was also seen in 2015. Two of these videos were published by the New York Times in 2017. It is seen in the video that one thing is moving towards the sky. A pilot is heard saying, Look at him, it is spinning. Another video was released in 2018 by a private science organization ‘To the Stars Academy’ known to study unknown airborne objects.
As the twitterati heats up over the development, Former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has taken to Twitter saying Americans “deserve to be informed” about UFO information after the Pentagon’s official release of three Navy videos showing “unidentified aerial phenomena.”
Reid’s averments are crucial because he presided over a devoted funding in 2007 to a $22 million program to investigate unidentified flying objects. Something that was confirmed in 2017. Such sightings have reportedly gone up in 2019.
Officials clarify while UFOs are not necessarily indicative of extraterrestrial life, they do raise concerns about aircraft flying near sensitive military facilities and ranges.
In what looked like a sharp jump in number of extra terrestrial sightings, the National UFO Reporting Center tracking cases of reporting of extra terrestrial life sightings the number of such sights went up from 3,395 in 2018 to 5,971 sightings in 2019.
Most of the reports were indicative of flashing white lights, fireballs, disc-shaped objects or other odd looking things in 2019. California led with Florida and Washington following suit. Space X launched 180 new satellites into space recently, and those devices have lit up the night skies says a spokesman.
