Good Samaritan is a concept that needs to be understood fast because more often than not people turn a blind eye when an accident victim is lying on the road.

People mostly fear being caught and harassed if found with an accident victim, but some like Rajput Arpita Singh rise to the occasion and atleast try to save a life, even if it is a failed attempt.

As a young girl who has joined the business circuit early, life has not been all smooth sailing. When she set out to start a business which now is quite a buzz, she encountered the Bechari tag that came her way. People on one hand did not want to give girls a chance. On the contrary if there was help it came with the comment – We help because you are girls.

But Arpita’s business interest is one side of the story. Only recently a massive accident occurred near the Lohia Hospital. A Wagon R and a consequent accident led to one young lad falling near a bridge. Arpita who was passing by realized the gravity of the situation and stepped in to help. 10 to 15 boys all were busy taking snaps or beating up the driver whose driving caused the harm.

For 20 minutes, the victim lay without aid until some sensible souls after repeated coaxing of Arpita, came forward and extended help that they could shift the victim to hospital.

At times when no one came forward, Arpita singlehandedly with some help atleast tried lending a hand. While the victim is no more, she has shown the way to many of us to not shun a accident victim.

Arpita in a recent facebooklive says – he could have been saved had help come on time. Please help those who have suffered an accident and let people not suffer in pain. Save a life. Next time it can be someone from the family.

Photographer turned entrepreneur, Rajput Arpita Singh is the owner of Cafe Asante Lucknow. There were both hurdles and problems to get going as an entrepreneur and it was a new way to discover oneself she says in an interview on a facebook live event.

She is candid to admit – No matter how much you talk about women empowerment things are very different when things come down to the onground implementation of things.

Many a times an artist despite the talent gets lost in this big world and goes unnoticed. Arpita started Asante to give such people the required recognition. Asante is about the creativity and the madness of an artist.

In Swahili language Asante means Thank You. Asante was a unique coming together of two passionate people. One a creative mind, the other gave the required moral support.

Personally even Cafe Asante has been a tough call for Arpita, as people were not ready to accept the idea of a cafe run by women. They wanted to know the background and the place the two young women resided in. They even went to the extent of asking for an NOC from the parents of the owners.

As youngsters finding the place to open the cafe was an issue for them. Arpita in the facebook live – sticks to the point that as 18 plus they are well within their means to take a call.

Arpita and her friend bought tyres, wood, paints and other accessories on their own steam for the cafe.

Letting women grow and prosper is just a point said and resaid in debates, she adds as she speaks in a facebooklive.

Cafe Asante is a platform open for painters, photographers and other creative souls. It is a fine blend of an exhibition hall with tasty food, Arpita says.
