Microsoft bets big on Hindi Heartland

Even as the country works its way towards providing better job opportunities in the state post the Corona pandemic, foreign investors in these times find the state a conducive place to setup shop. If the birdie is to be believed then Microsoft is ready to go the full hog to set up its own campus in the Hindi heartland.

So far the company had its campuses in Bangalore and Hyderabad. With UP next on the list many are calling it a big thing. Microsoft Development MD, Rajiv Kumar has made this announcement while speaking to UP Foreign investment minister, Siddharth Nath Singh.

Singh has had the responsibility of attracting foreign investment and ensuring production goes up manifold across sectors. The development comes at a time when the Minister in the state has been holding hectic parleys with Managers of global giants so that business can get back to usual as one emerges out of the Corona crisis. In order to attract global players, there are different ways in which the government is dishing out some perks that they claim will prove a double whammy in the long run.

During the virtual meeting with Microsoft that was held recently, among the others who were present were Chief Secretary MSME, Navneet Sehgal and Business Development Commissioner, Alok Tandon. Singh in his communication to the media has said in UP the facility of Microsoft will be bigger than Hyderabad and Bangalore.

In Hyderabad there are 5000 people working, in UP the promise is in the initial phase 4000 will get jobs, but once it is in the full activity the numbers will go up clears the government.
