At first sight the kaleidoscope of colours that dons the walls of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow assures you of a new era in the school. In these 27 years of its existence modernity, tradition and an out of the box approach have added to the Seth M.R. Jaipuria experience, in keeping with the motto of Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya.

An innovative design and creative murals have already won accolades from the Institute of Indian Interior Design. The five prominent murals teach some lessons.

These murals show that evolution is an ongoing process, they talk of greater wisdom, need for strength; keeping mind, body, soul and spirit in perfect harmony. Lastly aiming for perfection.

Of the teachers who shared their pearls of wisdom with us in school, fresh in memory are Smriti Rekha Singh Mam, Nidhi Mam, Padma Mam, Shruti Joshi Mam, Alpana Goel Mam, Apurbo Chatterjee Sir, Vinay Pandey Sir, Seema Sharma Mam, Probhati Biswas Mam, P Arvindakshan Sir and my entire team of gurus in the Music department that include Narvada Sood Mam, Surendra Sir, HC Paliwal Sir, Ravindra Sir and Massey Sir.

From humble beginnings to an amazing expansion, the school is a befitting tribute to the iconic Seth Mungtu Ram Jaipuria, a man who played a stellar role in industrialization of India after Independence.

Padmabhushan Seth Mungtu Ram Jaipuria was an industrialist and a philanthrophist. The school was founded by his son Sharad Jaipuria in 1992 who is Chairman. The Vice Chairperson is Anjali Jaipuria. The institution is run under Integral Education Society, Kanpur. The school over the years has reached great heights under able and highly acclaimed academicians. The founder principal of the school, P. Arvindakshan led the institution from 1992 to 2009 . It was briefly led by Anju Wal.

Currently led by Promini Chopra, the school has transformed itself in terms of infrastructure, teaching pedagogy and the approach to holistic learning by way of smart tools and paraphernalia. As a school that has given exemplary thought leaders to this nation, Jaipuria continues to hold its own in an era when quality education is very crucial for the overall development of the child.

At times when the youth of today are veering away from their roots, the school stresses on the need to know our scriptures and be abreast with the ancient Sanskrit Language.

Multiple activities organized here add value to the resume of the child when he or she walks out into the professional job market. Many who have trained in metal work, glass painting, carpentary, dramatics, debating etc have carved a niche for themselves.

From JMUN, the first Model United Nations conference in Uttar Pradesh to regular interschool competitions like Elixir, Crescendo and TechVista, the Jaipurian has never felt any lack of options to showcase their talent.

Once modelled on rivers like Godavari – Mahanadi, Ganga – Yamuna, Krishna – Cauvery and Narmada – Tapti now the houses are divided as House of Wisdom, House of Strength, House of Perfection and House of Harmony.

The group started its first school in Lucknow in 1992, Seth M.R.Jaipuria School, Lucknow.

From the first school in Gomti Nagar, now the Seth MR Jaipuria footprint can be seen in Bansal campus, Goel campus, Banaras, Faizabad, Patna, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Hardoi, Fatehpur, Bahraich, Kanpur road, Ballia, Rajajipuram, Shahjahanpur, Gonda, Lakhimpur, Sonbhadra and Orai.

As young turks who have been part of the Jaipuria tribe at some point of time, the small and big achievements of our school make us don the role of an ambassador of the school with greater responsibility and pride.
