Indian Railways has been trending with the introduction of a train which is called the 2.8 km long Sheshnag running on railway tracks. This has now become a railway record on the tracks. The railway had to use four locomotives to run this Sheshnag on the tracks. According to some the South East Central Railway the 2.8 km Sheshnag train had 251 wagons behind it. They were diverted from Nagpur division to Korba. In its round first the Sheshnag completed the journey of about 260 km in 6 hours. This unique experiment was done to save time in freight. To run the Sheshnag train on track, 4 electric locomotives with a capacity of 6000 horsepower have been installed, while a 2 km long super anaconda train was fitted with three electric locomotives with a capacity of 6000 horsepower. The Super Anaconda train had 177 loaded wagons. Railways have successfully demolished the record of Super Anaconda run on one day this week.
Indian Railways is making new records one after the other. Only recently the railways built a 2 km long super anaconda train by adding three engines and freight trains. The super anaconda train ran between Lajkura and Rourkela in Odisha in the Anaconda Formation with a weight load of 15 thousand tons. With this, goods worth more than 1 crore were transported from one place to another. Its maximum speed was 60 km per hour. Super Anaconda completed its journey in 2:15 hours. The Railways held another record. On July 1, 2020, a total of 201 passenger trains ran across the country for 24 hours and not a single train was late. That is, 201 trains reached the station as per their scheduled time. This was the first time in the 167-year history of the Railways, when all trains ended their journey on one day.
