Any person watching him from a short distance, sporting a close cropped grey beard, rimless spectacles, a half sleeve kurta and a Nehru jacket will consider him the man occupying 7 Lok Kalyan Marg.
Such is his aura that one sight of him is enough to elicit a request for autographs and selfies.
Abhinandan Pathak aka Nandan Modi was once famously quoted as saying I see Modi as Rama and I am Lakshmana.
Pathak interestingly emulates Modi’s gestures and body language well.
A resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Pathak imparts knowledge of physical education.
Abhinandan Pathak, a onetime devotee of the saffron giant may look like Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi, but his loyalties to the saffron force are now over.

Pathak has expressed his desire to meet AICC president Rahul Gandhi.

He intends campaigning against BJP in the 2019 elections. While meeting Congress top guns recently he claimed his admiration for Modi has not waned but BJP has not lived up to its promises.
Pathak ventured into politics when he launched Manavtawadi Party in 2012, which he later merged into the BJP in 2013.
Pathak hit headlines when he campaigned for Narendra Modi ahead of the April – May 2014 election in Varanasi, Vadodara and Delhi.
Pathak was a central figure during the Delhi elections of 2015 and UP elections in 2017. He holds the distinction of contesting Lok Sabha election in 1999 and Vidhan Sabha election in 2012.
Earlier Pathak had participated in door-to-door canvassing for the BJP during the by-poll in Gorakhpur.
Some reports in the media further say he contested the UP elections of 2017 against the BJP candidate on the Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party of India (RPI) ticket.
Reportedly Pathak had also joined Samajwadi Party in November last year.
Apart from Pathak, three more Modi lookalikes – Nalin Joshi from Junagadh, Vikas Mahante from Mumbai and Jitendra Vyas from Vadodara have canvassed for BJP at different times.
